Stockton Lake Recreation Area is an excellent free camp site (fees now charged), 8 km East of Collie on Piavanini Road, off the Collie – Darkan Road. Stockton Lake is an old open-cut mine, which is now filled with water to form an artificial lake.
Stockton Lake Recreation Area has wood barbecues, picnic tables, toilets and although there are no designated individual camp sites it does have the ability to offer group, family and individual camping.
Bring your own firewood if no fire bans are in place.
Pets are permitted however must be kept on a lead at all times.
