Lemonade Scones

Camp Oven Lemonade SconesPrep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Serves: 12- 15 scones


  • 3 cups self-raising flour
  • 1 cup lemonade
  • 1 cup cream
  • Pinch of salt


  1. Place self-raising flour into a bowl.
  2. Add the cream, then the lemonade. Only add enough lemonade to make scone mixture doughy and sticky.
  3. Turn out onto floured board and roll out mixture with rolling pin
  4. Cut out the scones with a cutter (or glass dipped in flour).
  5. Place the scones into a hot camp oven.
  6. Cook for 10 minutes. To check if ready, poke scones with a knife.

Hint: Use a rack in the bottom of the camp oven.  You don’t need much heat to cook the scones. Also, place a small amount of coals on top of the lid.
