Serves: 12- 15 scones
Ingredients:
- 3 cups self-raising flour
- 1 cup lemonade
- 1 cup cream
- Pinch of salt
Preparation:
- Place self-raising flour into a bowl.
- Add the cream, then the lemonade. Only add enough lemonade to make scone mixture doughy and sticky.
- Turn out onto floured board and roll out mixture with rolling pin
- Cut out the scones with a cutter (or glass dipped in flour).
- Place the scones into a hot camp oven.
- Cook for 10 minutes. To check if ready, poke scones with a knife.
Hint: Use a rack in the bottom of the camp oven. You don’t need much heat to cook the scones. Also, place a small amount of coals on top of the lid.
