Just in case you thought you could squeeze another 6 months out of your water heaters anode maybe think again. I removed ours after 12 months and just look at the state of it. Must look at it more frequently in future. ...

Thanks to lovely FCA members we are staying at Ayr Saileen tonight.

What a great park! Staff are wonderful, price great, free wifi, laundry and full access to camp kitchen equipped with everything (even knifes and forks) and beautiful farm land and views that look down over the valley.

They even do doggy day care!

Great spot! Wish we were staying more than a night.

Heading off around Australia in a month or two. From Melbourne, up the guts to Darwin, over to Broome, to Perth along the coast and back across the Nullabor. It all seems very daunting to us at the moment. Have a small dog that we also want to take with us. After some feedback from people who have done this as to whether it is necessary to pre-book caravan sites before we take off or can we just rock up and book when we get there. We really do not want to be tied in to any area if we don not like it so. We are also set up with ability to free camp if needed but do not want too much free camping. Any suggestions will be more than happily accepted. ...

Spending the night at Jerrawangla rest area just south of Nowra. NSW. Right beside the H’way. Good overnighter but the toilets are an absolute disgrace. I just can’t comprehend how people can be so dirty. We are given these great places to stay and people just abuse the privilege ...

I'll probably get criticism for this post. Here goes anyway. How about separate areas in caravan parks/camping areas for people with dogs. We are travelling around Victoria and I would say more people have dogs (sometimes 2 or 3) than those of us who don't. The owners don't always clean up after them and the sites are left smelly. Not fair to those who choose not to have pets with us. ...

Heading south on Saturday.

Taking my boys from Gosford to Canberra to see their Grandfather after his Triple bypass.

Any good (secret squirrel) swimming holes on the way down for a cool off?

Doing mermaid pools on the way back.
Thanks.
